The problem with men

by Steve Purdham

Natural man is virtuous simply because a strict moral discipline is necessary for survival, a lesson that modern man must learn. Also, natural man is a protector. His true desires are to love and show compassion. In addition, equality is the true status of all people, meaning that we all are of equal value. By virtue of our existence, we are all entitled to universal inherent rights; foremost among these rights is the right to be free from harm. Tragically, humanity is plagued by a social character that I call the machochist, whose attitude of superiority deceives him into believing that he is entitled to special privileges. Every human violation, from acts of disrespect, to abuse, to crime, to war, and every form of prejustice, can be traced directly to the attitude of superiority. A belief in one’s superiority can not exist without a corresponding belief that others are inferior, a direct violation of mankind’s true condition. Also, violation attitudes cannot exist unless man’s natural instincts are suppressed, and the macho culture’s primary objective is to teach boys to show no emotion, condemning their true feelings as feminine and sissy-like. To further compound mankind’s greatest problem, machochists promote every vice and sin, and everything irresponsible and harmful, as “manly” behaviors. Other words like “mature, adult and liberated,” further confuse matters. As experience has proven, the machochist culture violates man’s true condition and thus is a false culture. Boys who imitate the behaviors of the false culture must abandon their true selves to do so. The same is true for girls. If people had the courage to be honest, they would admit their true desires, and reject all that is false. Sadly, moral courage has been condemned by the liberal culture as “incorrect”, and people en mass will follow social dictates so that those already affected with the macho disease won’t make fun of them. The violation culture exists for selfish social reasons, and those who prescribe to the false doctrine are suffering from a social disease that stunts their growth emotionally, intellectually, socially, and spiritually. Even though machochists insist they are “real men”, they are the most juvenile and irresponsible people in society — they have never cultivated the qualities that would make them truly manly. Self-deception and immoral behaviors are bedfellows. When studying the epidemic of youth corruption in the modern society, I’ve found a direct correlation between that and the wide spread promotion of machochist behaviors and attitudes, primarily the media. U.S courts have aided this by proclaiming every form of wickedness a first amendment right. These rulings come from the liberal belief that rights must be unrestricted. Moral values place restrictions on people’s speech and behavior, and thus has been ruled “unconstitutional”. These beliefs are as false as the liberal culture itself, and I must point out that the machochist culture and the liberal culture are one in the same. Another name for it is the counter culture, which rebelled against all things good and decent. Our children are suffering the harmful results.
