SchoolBoard, Prop.103, City Council….Here’s sound advice

  Staff Reports  –

Evans Fire Protection District – unnecessary.  Evans still has efficiencies to find and fat to cut before asking for tax hikes in these times.

Proposition 103 – This one is simple.  No. For many reasons, but you can stop at the fact that the new tax money will not be used for education.  Because Prop 103 is a statute, the legislature can move it anywhere it likes.  “Education” is the most likely issue to pass, and Boulder Liberal legislator/author Rollie Heath knows this.

Greeley City Council – Incumbents will all win, regardless of your vote.

I will agree it is time for a dramatic change on the School board. Probably why I voted the way I did this year. Have got to get more people questing why things are done and find other places for cuts. There are many other places. Would really love to see the school board get behind the teachers and support them and hold students and parents responsible.

While I suspect your correct in your posting about the upcoming elections. It’s obivious the (fix) is in, before the final ballot is counted. Has anyone asked who actually decides who wins? There is a large segment that believe those who have the money and power, dictate who wins. Sounds like congress, only on a smaller scale. Too bad those that feel that way don’t want to be involved (waste their time) in voting. So the same ol, remains the same ol. As long as “they” steer the conversation, Greeley will remain the same. And that/s too bad. This town has so much more potential…
