Staff Reports –
Greeley West High School Theatre presents the classic play, “To Kill a Mockingbird,” Nov. 11, 12, 18 and 19.
This powerful drama, based on the 1960 Pulitzer Prize-winning novel, still prods our national moral conscience to this day.
The Greeley West production is told from the point of view of the older, adult Jean Louise “Scout” Finch. Through the eyes and memory of Jean Louise, the play carries audiences on a journey through the fires of prejudice and injustice in 1932 Alabama.
The roles of the older and younger Jean Louise will be played by sisters Siara and Savannah McWilliams. Siara is a senior at Greeley West and Savannah is a fourth-grade student at McAuliffe Elementary School. In all, the play involves a cast and crew of 35 Greeley West students, two McAuliffe Elementary School students, and one student from Mirich Elementary School in LaSalle.
All tickets are $8, and are available at the door on show nights.
