Gingrich supporters encouraged to support Ron Paul

by Peter Grady –

Following yesterday’s announcement by Newt Gingrich that he was suspending his presidential campaign for Republican nomination, a Christian leader is calling on his supporters to throw their support behind Ron Paul rather than Mitt Romney who many conservatives consider to be a moderate candidate.

Pastor Stephen Andrew, president of USA Christian ministries says God wants to bless the USA with a Christian president in that Ron Paul is the only Christian currently running for the office.

“Ron Paul is the most God-fearing Presidential candidate that pastors and the Republican party should support. Paul is able, honest and opposes the sins of breaking Constitutional laws, removing freedom, abortion and covetousness that Obama has weakened Americans with (Exodus 18:21),” he says. “If Republicans don’t give a Christian candidate, Christians should look elsewhere – even to a third party. Ron Paul can beat Obama. Paul does well with Independents and Democrats.”

He points out that the Jesus of Mormonism is not the same Jesus of evangelical Christianity. Fundamental Christians believe that Jesus was God manifest in the flesh, however Mormonism teaches that Jesus and Satan are brothers.

While some may argue that a vote should not be based on the religious beliefs of a candidate, Andrew says there are other reasons to support Ron Paul.

While Governor of Massachusetts Romney issued an executive order directing the County clerks to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples following a court ruling that limiting marriage to a man and woman violated the state constitution.

However, the high court’s decision instructed the legislature, not the governor to come up with a solution. To this day, the legislature has refused to act on the court’s decision. “Gay” marriage remains legal in the state solely because of an executive order that Romney chose to issue.

Andrew issued a similar call to Santorum voters following his withdrawal from the race.

Andrew is not the only evangelical who has backed Ron Paul. Dr. James Linzey, president and founder of the Military Bible Association, has also endorsed the candidate.

Lizney, who served as a military chaplain for over 24 years and retired with an honorable discharge, has hosted Operation Freedom, a television program in Europe. Before founding the Military bible Association, he travelled the world as an evangelist.

Lizney said the deciding factor for his endorsement was Paul’s fidelity to the Constitution which would benefit all Americans, not just those of people of faith.

Some in the evangelical movement have taken issue with a comment by Paul that social issues were “a losing position.”

However, when one listens to the entire exchange he was referring to social issues being dealt with at the federal level as compared to the state level.

Mitt Romney has thus far refused to sign Personhood USA’s pro-life pledge which calls for a constitutional amendment protecting the unborn however Paul has signed the pledge.

Some in the pro-life community have expressed concern about Paul’s pro-life credentials because of a qualifying statement he issued when signing the pledge indicating he wants amendment’s language to specify its enforcement will be left to the state.

Rombama’s quest for 1144 delegates has peaked and now is going backwards …. he has fewer today than last week and fewer last week than last month ….. LET THIS TREND PICK UP SPEED.

Regardless of RULE 38 or similar strategic advantages,

CRYSTAL CLEAR is that Dr Paul’s electors will write the platform …. pick the VP … Make the rules AND his followers are the immediate future and direction of the GOP as we gain
total control of the party state by state city by city …. GOOD BYE old party bosses HELLO individual freedoms.

  • Disgusted says:

Ron Paul is the only candidate to make our country whole again and wipe out all of these stupid laws POTUS is signing under the cover of darkness.
30,000 drones to fly over us? Really? Why? Because they’ve allowed people that hate us to come here? Or because some of the American people that believe in the Constitution and limited power of govt are waking up as they see their freedoms taken.
Going after raw milk? We can’t legally consume nutritious foods anymore? We have to eat gmo’s? I would like all in govt to eat gmo foods for a year and see how they feel, if they’re still alive.
This is just one reason we need Ron Paul.
POTUS is spitting in the faces of all who fought previous wars for our freedoms and liberties. They sure didn’t die for what’s happening now.
