Monday April 5, 2010, Greeley Police Chief, Jerry Garner reported to the Greeley Republican Women’s Group, “There was not one traffic fatality in 2009.” He presented statistics to the club and stressed the success of the police department was due to a combination of good law enforcement and a good working relationship with Sheriff Cooke’s Office and DA Ken Buck’s office
Garner also emphasized the importance of customer service, “We’re not an occupying army, we need to make a good impression because we can’t do our job without the public’s help.”
Chief Garner has been in Greeley for 4 years now and was appointed by the City Manager, Roy Otto. “Your main job as Police Chief is to lead and be a role model,” Garner stated.
