When you have a dollar in your hand and the government takes it at the point of a gun, does it really matter whether the Supreme Court names that action a “tax” or a “fine?” You no longer have your dollar.
This morning, for the second time this week, the Supreme Court ruled that Obama and the Czars can tell us we have to buy something we may not want. The precedent is now set. If the government can dictate that we have to buy health insurance, the government can now dictate we have to buy other products and services as well.
Make no mistake about what has happened today; the Constitution was moved to the archives section of the library where school children will only be taught about how it used to be an important document but became too outdated to be applied to “modern” social issues.
Justice Ginsburg, who earlier this year told the new Egyptian government ( the Muslim Brotherhood controlled government ) that the U.S. Constitution was outdated, has now told Americans that she supports retiring the old document permanently. She is in the majority of the ruling justices. The “change” Obama promised has now come true. America is now ruled by rulers instead of laws of the people.
Today it was health insurance, tomorrow it may be broccoli. One thing that has always been true of government and the governing; if the citizens give them an inch… … …
God bless America.
