GREELEY- The local head of a physician’s organization dedicated to the sanctity of the doctor-patient relationship will be speaking at a meeting to discuss the ramifications of Obamacare on individual Americans and how it will affect the doctor patient relationship.

Dr. Jill Vecchio, president of the Colorado chapter of Docs4PatientCare will speak at a meeting hosted by Coloradans for Healthcare choices and the Weld County GOP this Wednesday, July 18 at 6:30 a.m. at Randy’s All American Grill, located at 2118 35th Ave. in the Westlake Shopping Center.

Vecchio will be discussing the recent Supreme Court decision upholding the individual mandate tax and how it will affect patients during their interactions with their doctors. The organization, Docs4PatientCare, says it  is a group of concerned physicians committed to the establishment of a health care system that preserves the sanctity of the doctor-patient relationship, promotes quality  care, supports affordable access to all Americans, and protects patients’ freedom of choice.

The first 100 people to register will receive a free copy of Dave Racer’s book, The Solution: Consumers. Those desiring to register can RSVP via e-mail to scott@ColoradoHealthcareChoices.com.

Earlier this month, the Supreme Court in a controversial split decision, upheld the President’s healthcare bill by agreeing with Obama’s lawyers that the individual mandate that requires all Americans to obtain health insurance is in fact a tax and thus constitutional.

The Affordable Healthcare Act, otherwise known as Obamacare was a partisan bill that passed solely by Democrat votes. The bill was described by former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi as Obama’s “crown jewel.”

Critics have noted the taxes in Obamacare amount to the largest tax increase on the middle class in American history.

Following the court’s decision, Obama supporters have vigorously argued the Supreme Court is wrong and the mandate is not a tax at all, but simply a penalty.
