The new owners of Foothills Mall ponied up nearly $40 million to buy Fort Collins’ aging shopping center and expect to spend nearly three times that renovating and re-energizing it.
Walton Foothills Holdings VI, LLC — the ownership group comprised of Greenwood Village-based Alberta Development Partners and affiliates of Walton Street Capital — bought the nearly 40-year-old mall in July, bringing with it a community’s hopes for long-awaited redevelopment.
Alberta declined to disclose the purchase price in July but the new deed filed with the Larimer County Assessor’s office lists the sale price at $39.6 million.
