GREELEY — The Greeley Historic Preservation Commission invites the public to a walking tour of the 10th Street Corridor on Monday, September 17, 2012, at 5:30 p.m. Participants will visit some of the properties reflecting the post-World War II development trends in Greeley, particularly the reliance on the automobile. The tour will begin at the Wilshire Shopping Center Parking Lot, at the southwest corner of 10th Street and 28th Avenue. No reservations are necessary. Call 350.9222 to check ADA accessibility. The event is free and open to the public.
The walking tours provide citizens with a chance to hear about and see interesting sites with historical and cultural significance to Greeley. The remaining walking tour schedule for 2012 is as follows:
