An eco-terrorist group responsible for a 1998 act of terror in Vail has issued a press release taking credit for a recent bombing in Mexico, saying it was as beautiful as burning a Wal-mart store.

The claim was made by the Anti-Liberation Cell of the Earth Liberation Front who said in a poorly edited press release that they were taking responsibility for bombing a pharmacy in the Toluca Valley in Mexico.

“During the first few hours of January 23, 2013 an explosive charge detonated at one of the branches of the “Gudalajara” pharmacies in the Toluca valley, Mexico, destroying the facade; the vivisectors of civilization did not sell drugs to the automatons of industrial society today, it was exquisite to sabotage this establishment which murders all species, all nature, the individual, it was a pleasure to observe how the “white coats” use the expert services of the state only to repeat that wild nature and anarchy has attacked them once again.”

The release then goes on to explain how the bombing was conducted and suggested further bombings would be forthcoming.

“We realize that each of us is capable of undertaking actions as “big” as those proposed, but in this moment operations as beautiful as the burning of a Wall Mart -by the compxs of the CCF/FAI México- or the more secure methods of torching automobiles on a massive scale- like the AMIGXS DE LA TIERRA/FAI in Argentina are carried out- Why not share this information now so the Cells of Fire can reproduce them with an international flavor?”

While the Department of Homeland Security and other government agencies have attempted to portray members of the tea party and returning veterans as domestic terrorists, ELF has actually committed terrorist acts across the United States including here in Colorado. The group has been known to carry out their terrorist activities in conjunction with the Animal Liberation Front (ALF).

Since 1997 ELF has been responsible for over $95 million in property damage including a 1998 fire at Vail, Colorado which resulted in $12 million in damage. ELF claimed the fire was retaliation for Vail, inc. removing lynx habitat. The fire resulted in the loss of seven structures including four ski lifts, a restaurant and a picnic facility.

ELF advocates “economic sabotage and property destruction” in order to “halt the destruction of the environment.” The group also says they have declared war against “greedy capitalists” and “rich scum.”

The FBI has declared ELF to be the nation’s top domestic terrorism threat.
