With sights set high, we are eagerly awaiting the final verdict…..as of now we believe that we will be starting up our Friday Lunch Program with Weld County Senior Nutrition beginning on Friday, March 1st…..keep tuned in and we will advise you by next week as to our progress. (and a little prayer wouldn’t hurt eitherJ.

When (think positively) we start the Friday meals, please remember that you MUST register to be able to come just as you do for Tuesdays.   You will need to call 970-475-1132 BEFORE 9:00 a.m. on the Thursday prior to the Friday on which you plan to attend.   As with Tuesday lunches, please leave your name and the names of others that you are registering for on the machine…..we will take care of the rest.

Lunches will cost the same as they do on Tuesdays……$3.00 for people 60 plus or married to a spouse who is 60 plus.

Michael Yates from the City of Evans Police Department will be here to advise you on how to protect yourself against Identity Thieves on the 26th of February.

Dining around with Donn and Bev is scheduled for  March 14th leaving at 11:00 a.m for the Eaton Country Club….cost for transportation $3.00….meal is on your own.    Come and join in the fun!   You may sign up at the Rec Desk at the South End of the Evans Community Complex.

CALLING ALL VETS….Our next meeting will be March 2nd  at the Golden Corral in Evans/Greeley at 7:30 a.m.   Come and join us for fellowship, fun and breakfast.

Our Fall Color Trip will be to the City of Washington, D.C. in late September and early October when the color and temperatures will be very, very nice.  More information will be available in the next few weeks concerning the dates and schedules…….and of course the special places we will see…….our trip will include local step on guides who will be with us throughout our visit.

Each Tuesday we are blessed with excess bread from Panera Bakery in Loveland to whom we are very, very grateful.   If you are coming to lunch with us, please feel free to stop and pick up something you might like to try.   It is available on Tuesdays only.

Don’t forget to bring those family heirlooms and treasures for a free appraisal on the third Tuesday of each month when Daniel Geary will be here from 9:00 a.m. til noon.   What a wonderful way to discover if you have a real treasure or a sentimental one.

The Medicare Man (Don Andersen) will be available every Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. til noon for any of you who require information on the subject.  If you need help before then, call 970-834-1478.

Our thought for the week…..”Those who expect to reap the blessings of freedom, must, like men, undergo the fatigue of supporting it”.   Thomas Paine
