Gun bill hearings time changed

by Craig Masters
The time for the public hearings on the proposed gun control bills before the Colorado Senate on Monday, March 4, has been rescheduled from a start time of 1:30pm to an earlier start time of 10:30am. According to Senator Lundberg, the start times were changed to earlier in the day and he expects the hearings to last all day and perhaps into the evening.

Not everyone who signs in to speak will have the opportunity to do so due to the expected number of requests and time available. However, if you are planning to attend and have not yet prepared your statements, here is an example submitted to me by a reader which can be delivered in 3 minutes flat – with a few practice runs.
Good Afternoon Mr Chairman, members of the Committee;
My name is ….
….. Colorado

When a representative of the people is entrusted by Oath of Office to be truthful in the discharge of his duties, it is a violation of both that trust and the law as intended by the Oath of Office for that representative to use false statements and or falsify or misrepresent the facts of any or all events leading to and supporting a bill for the intention of having that bill become a law governing the people so deceived by the representative, his agents, or others acting in the interests of the representative’s proposed law.

Whereas Colorado state Senator John P. Morse and Colorado state Representative Rhonda Fields have jointly introduced, as sponsors, Senate Bill 13-196, named the “Assault Weapon Responsibility Act”

And Whereas SB 13-196 contains significant false statements

And Whereas the language used as the text of SB 13-196 is vague of accepted meanings of otherwise common words in a clear intent to deceive and or disguise the underlying purpose of the bill – as yet to be realized or identified

And Whereas one stated purpose of the bill is to force the citizen owner(s) of targeted weapons to store those weapons in such as manner as to render them useless as self-defense or defense of persons or property in the event of an emergency
And Whereas the Constitution of the United States specifically prohibits the government from infringing upon the Rights of the citizens to “keep and bear arms” without limits on the quantity or design of such arms

Be it known that in addition to being in violation of the Constitution of the United States and that the text of SB 13-196 includes false and misleading language co-sponsors Morse and Fields have therefore violated the law of their respective Oaths of Office

I therefore call for the immediate arrest and prosecution, to the fullest intent of the law, Senator John Morse and co-conspirator Rhonda Fields for violating their Oath of Office and conspiring to deprive myself and other American citizens of our Constitutional Rights and in so doing the co-conspirators and unnamed co-conspirators have violated the Constitution of the United States of America.

With this notice, I therefore hold the members of this committee responsible for enforcement of the laws as outlined hereinbefore and should the members refuse to act accordingly to stop the illegal actions of the aforementioned co-conspirators, those members will therefore be held criminally liable for failure to protect the Rights of citizens and thereby join with Morse and Fields as named conspirators in the violation of my Constitutional Rights as specified by the Second Amendment of the Constitution of the United States of America.
