Hundreds of citizens from across Colorado converged on the capital Monday, to deliver messages of opposition to the democrat politicians’ attack on private property rights and the U.S. Constitution by undermining its supporting document, the Bill of Rights.

In what has to be the most disgraceful demonstration of representative government since the war between the states, democrats in Denver, New York, and across America have finally proven the American Constitution is not the law of “their” land. The charade the senate committees performed in going through the motions of pretending to hear testimony from the public was no less than insulting to every American who even remotely understands that as the Bill of Rights falls, so too does Freedom.

The issues are not gun control. Sheriff after sheriff testified that these proposals are not enforceable at any  cost. Clearly the issues are not about public safety. Every historical record in every case study of crime before and after “gun control” is initiated proves that more guns result in less crime – never more. The issues are not about any matter of safety in any aspect from domestic violence to mass murders. Fact after fact was presented to discredit every single supportive argument for the proposals the democrats have claimed would provide safety.

Of course there were dramatic stories of a particular sister or grandmother who died by being shot by a person previously charged with domestic violence on the victim. These aren’t random attacks. In an effort to stamp out a problem the size of a postage stamp the democrats propose the total destruction of the confidentiality between doctors and patients and totalitarian control over private property. The testimony of the husband of ‘Gabby’ Giffords about how his wife’s assailant was able to walk into a gun shop and walk out with a gun was a nonsense attempt to support the background check bill. It was sad to see a former astronaut make a fool of himself. By his very own story, the only one of the 7 gun bills Kelly was in Denver to support failed to work where it was already in place. Giffords’ assailant passed an FBI background check! The Aurora shooter Rhonda Fields is claiming her bills will stop, passed a background check!

The only thing Fields can do is make more theaters safer for more shooters. Remember, the Aurora theater site was the only one of several in the area where signs declared that only criminals were allowed to have weapons inside. Fields knows this fact. The Sandy Hook shooter didn’t own a gun – even if he had failed a background check and been denied gun ownership – that fact wouldn’t have saved one single child that day. Again, the reality that not one single person was allowed to be armed and able to protect those children or those theater-goers doesn’t matter to the Colorado democrats. These bills are about power and permanent control – not safety.

There is no doubt every democrat in the country knows these gun control laws are not about public safety. The issue is about disarming citizens who might once again rise up in revolution against an over reaching government feeding its appetite for wealth and power on the work and property of others! Being a slave to government is nontheless being a slave.

Consider the violence in the mid-East. While democrats across the United States are disarming Americans and strengthening their power by destroying freedoms reserved for the people by the Bill of Rights. The democrats in Washington are shipping weapons by the hundreds of millions of dollars to “freedom fighters” in the mid-East to help citizens there overthrow governments which already disarmed the population. Will the unintended consequences of democrats arming the Muslim Brotherhood freedom fighters be armed Islamic Jehadists on the streets of America? Perhaps we can learn from the recent news of Chicago gangs being organized by Mexican cartel leaders who were once supplied by Obama’s illegal gun running programs. Now those same guns are finding their way all the way back to the streets of Chicago. But in spite of Obama himself having organized the community, the people are still dying – unable to protect themselves. The excessive violence on the streets of a “disarmed” population in Egypt, Syria, Mexico or Chicago is is a hard look into the future of Colorado in the era after these democrat politicians pass their “gun control bills.”
