Man convicted of felony for punching city bus driver

GREELEY, Colo. – Today in Weld County District Court, a jury convicted Rojorio Roy Naranjo

of endangering public transportation, a Class 3 felony, and harassment, a Class 3

misdemeanor, for punching a city bus driver.

According to police and court records, the Greeley man punched a driver on a Greeley-Evans

Transportation District bus after the driver ordered him to stop bothering a young woman, who was

another passenger, on Oct. 13. Naranjo complied with the verbal orders from the bus driver, then

walked up behind him when the bus stopped and ultimately punched the driver twice, threw him off

the bus and kicked him, records state.

A sentencing hearing is scheduled for June 19.
