Fort Collins planning on improving flow on Harmony Road

Ft. Collins Coloradoan – As Harmony Road goes, so goes the city.

Love it or hate it, Harmony Road by design serves as an employment and economic hub for the city of Fort Collins. Success for one breeds success for the other.

The 5½-mile stretch from Interstate 25 to Shields Street is home to some of the city’s largest employers, retail centers and hotels and is set for significant residential and job growth in the next couple decades.

Second only to College Avenue in terms of traffic, the corridor has two intersections with the highest crash totals in the city — at Timberline Road and Lemay Avenue — and navigating the corridor on anything but four wheels can test one’s mettle.
