Sterling man arrested following chase on I-76

Sterling Journal Advocate — A Sterling man was arrested Saturday after leading Logan County Sheriff’s deputies on a chase along I-76 and into rural Logan County.

The LCSO responded to a REDDI (report every drunk driving incident) report on eastbound I-76 at 12:52 p.m. and spotted a vehicle weaving “all over the road” at about mile marker 143, according to Sheriff Brett Powell. They followed the vehicle, turning on lights and sirens at MM148. At speeds randing from 55 to 80 mph, they followed the vehicle, which stopped briefly around MM 154, then cut across the median and travelled west on I-76. With LCSO pursuing, the driver exited at the Crook exit and the chase continued on county roads.
