Ft. Morgan speaker “excited” about Obamacare coming to Colorado

Fort Morgan Times — Brenda LaCombe knows how disheartening it has been for people who cannot afford health insurance but also make too much money for current government assistance.

Her previous job was assisting people attempting to get enrolled in such government programs.

“It was really frustrating at the end of the day when I got a phone call from someone who did not meet the requirements of the state health programs,” she told her audience at the recent July Brown Bag Lunch at Fort Morgan Library & Museum.

Experiencing that frustration over and over and hearing the desperation in people’s voices was part of what led her to going to work for Connect for Health Colorado, which is the new name for the state’s health insurance benefit exchange.
