Jill Yanklowitz Shannon

Jill Yanklowitz Shannon, 63 of Evans, Colorado died on Monday, June 14, 2010 at her home with her family by her side.

She was born on September 28, 1946 in Glens Falls, New York to Harold and E. Beulah (Slater) Yanklowitz.

Tribute: Jill married Richard Shannon on July 12, 1986 in San Diego, California.  She worked as a Navy Wife, Legal Secretary, in Child Caregiver and was a professional Mud Wrestler.  She loved riding motorcycles, caring for her cats, children, shopping and watching television.  The joy of her life was her grandchildren Jaden and Jaeanna.  She loved life and was a devoted wife and mother.

Survivors:  her husband Richard; 2 sons, Michael Collins and Jamie (Debbie) Johnson both of California; 3 grandchildren;

Jaden, Jaeanna and Hannah; 2 brothers, Stephen Yanklowitz of Chicago, Illinois and Daniel Yanklowitz of Maui, Hawaii; 2 sisters, Carol (David) Aronson of Saratoga Springs, NY and Dr. Patti Yanklowitz of Stanford, CA; several nieces and nephews including Lynn, Susie and Debbie who Jill lived with; several great nieces and nephews; mother in law, Verda (Bob) Andrews; father in law, Greg (Lisa) Shannon; 5 brothers in law, Dean (Denise) Shannon, Terry (Denice) Morrow, Eddie Andrews and Ryan and Mike Shannon; 2 sisters in law, Yvonne (John) Baker and Christa Shannon.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Harold and E. Beulah (Slator) Yanklowitz.

A celebration of life service to be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 26, 2010 at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 S. 11th Avenue in Evans.  Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until time of service Saturday at the funeral home.  Graveside services will be held on Thursday, July 1st at the Temple Beth El Cemetery in South Glens Falls, NY.
