Mabel E. Burns, 73, of Greeley, died August 11, 2010 at her home. She was born December 3, 1936 in Hat Creek, WY to Gustave F. and Helen M. (Freeman) Perlenfein.
Mabel graduated from Lusk High School in Lusk, WY. She married Delmar Burns on July 17, 1959 in Cheyenne, WY.
Mrs. Burns worked as a realtor for Scott Realty and was a former bartender at the Evans Moose Lodge.
She was a member of the Evans Moose Lodge and Pierce 2280.
Mabel’s hobbies included painting, traveling, gambling at Blackhawk and Deadwood, camping, entertaining family and friends. She got along with everyone and had a wonderful personality and nice smile. She also volunteered on the Nunn Fall Festival committee for many years.
Survivors include her husband Delmar of Greeley, daughters Vicki (Keith) Dill of Greeley and Debra (Darrin) Lady of Boise, ID, brother Kenneth (Jane) Perlenfein of Salt Lake City, UT and sister Nina (Orral) Craven of Parker as well as 4 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a niece and a nephew.
Visitation from 9-10 a.m. Monday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with service to follow at 10 a.m. Interment Linn Grove Cemetery.
