Jim Riesberg is spending his weekends and evenings knocking on doors, handing out flyers, and to make sure the voters of HD 50 know where he stands on important issues. He says this door to door visiting is to combat what he thinks are “mischaracterizations” by his opponents.
Riesberg has been criticized for voting to raise taxes, but he says that the Legislature has no power to raise taxes. Taxes can only be raised by a vote of the people.
Riesberg has also taken heat for what critics call “growing government”.
However, Riesberg states that in the past two years the Legislature actually decreased the number of state employees and cut over $2.5 billion from the state General Fund budget
Riesberg says, “I am dedicated to caring for children, families, and seniors here in Greeley.”
Riesberg says he is happy to speak with people about issues or questions they may have. He can be reached at (970) 515-6183 or more information is available at www.riesbergin50.com
