Lorena Ley of Greeley died Monday, December 27, 2010 at Kenton Manor. She was born in Greeley on September 1, 1926 to David and Katherine (Brinkman) Blehm. She grew up on a farm as a child and continued to farm through her adult years.
On April 7, 1946 Lorena married Clerance Ley. She enjoyed Dutch Hops with her husband and also camping and fishing together in her later years. She liked to crochet and other crafts including making dolls. She was an excellent cook and baker. She was always looking for something new to make. Lorena was a very strong and independent person.
She is survived by her daughters Donna Reed (David) of Greeley and Barbara Case (Ronald) of Pierce; sisters Bertha Grauberger and Helen Wagner (Ben) all of Greeley, Velma Bender of Washington, Caroline Keys (Jim) of New Mexico, Edna Hutchenson (Robert) of Denver and Betty Meardy (Bill) of Connecticut; Three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, eleven brothers, and a granddaughter Robin Reed.
Graveside service 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
